From the Cobwebs: Checking in...or whatever

 Pre-Script: Aunt Nona said there is some logic in a pre-script, so I’m gonna start using ‘em. So, the pre-script is this: I am fully aware of my lack of 365 project blogs since the 18th of July. Okay, it just got crazy there for a little while. I also didn’t have internet at home and/or only had short times of access to it at other places. Plus, I was just stumped. I had a lot to say—I mean, come on! This is me we’re talking about, yeah? When have I not had a lot to say—but I just wasn’t figuring out how to say it. So, I’ve been trying to blog the last week or so, but I’ve decided that I’m going to quit calling it 365, only because that lets the pressure off of me. I don’t have to feel guilty if I don’t have time/or something about which I can write. So, there ya go. I’m back to it as often as possible, but ya know—when I can.

So, today I got a phone call from Ralph Lauren. They have a shift open on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The trucks arrive at that time and we—yes, including me cuz I got the job—have to unload all the boxes and put them on the shelf. I know, I know. It isn’t that much of a job, but it is one. 8 to 10 hours is better than zero hours. And I have some other irons in the fire, job-wise. It’ll all pan out eventually because it always does.
I’m sure some of your are wondering why in the world I’m looking for a new job when I have such a great job driving the school bus, yeah? Well, that is the problem. I no longer have it. I’ve been put on insulin because of my diabetes. Just pills weren’t working, so Dr. G. thought it was time for me to start injecting insulin. So, I do so nightly. And it seems to work, generally. I and my doctors are still working out the kinks.
I’ve also put in applications at a cookware store and Osh Kosh B’Gosh. And later today, after a meeting, I’ll drop off several more. I’m sure that I’ll find something soon. Keep praying, y’all. Sorry for this very disjointed blog, but sometimes they just are, yeah? I’ve gotta get. Need to fill out a few more applications (blech.) See y’all later.
