Going for a Walk
Pop wanted to go for a walk again. I love going for walks; so I'm always up for it on the rare occasions when he does, too. I think the cold weather invigorates him a bit. When we're in the house, if it is cold, he hates the cold. But if it is mildly cold--say in the 60s, he enjoys being out in it.
So, today we went for a walk. He chose the road--which happened to be the one on which his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson live. We walked all the way down to their house. Crisha was home, so we went in to visit with her. We chatted and played with Kingston--he lives there, ya know?
Finally, Pop wanted to head home, so we did. These pictures are ones which we took on our walk. Purty, huh?
One of the best parts of he walk happened on the way home. As we left Dale's house, we noticed that two husky looking dogs began following us. Now, usually Tipper trots along ahead of us, smelling this thing and that thing. This particular time; however, she walked between us. She was constantly turning around and looking back at those big dogs who were following us. The dogs continued to follow us for about 100 yards; So--for about 100 yards--Tipper did her odd protective dance, turning front and walking a few feet and then turning around and watching the dogs. When we finally walked about 200 yards out of the range of the dogs, Tipper trotted on ahead of us, smelling this thing and that thing. She is such a good puppy dog!
